Starting Solids & The First 1000 Days
Building healthy eating habits from the very beginning
At Sentralen | August 27 | 11:30-12:30
Starting solids is an exciting milestone—but it can also feel surprisingly overwhelming.
Should you start with purées or baby-led weaning? When should you introduce allergens? Which foods truly nourish a growing baby? And what if your little one simply isn’t interested?
The first years of life are a unique opportunity not only to nourish growing bodies, but also to lay the foundations for a lifelong relationship with food. Through gentle, repeated exposure to a wide variety of flavours and textures, responsive feeding and shared family meals, babies gradually build confidence, curiosity and enjoyment around eating.
Join us for a relaxed, evidence-based conversation with nutritionist Sandra Brastein, where we’ll explore both the science and the practical realities of feeding babies.
Unlike a brief routine appointment, this session gives you the opportunity to dive deeper into the research behind infant nutrition, ask all of your questions, and understand why certain recommendations matter. Sandra combines the latest scientific evidence with practical, realistic guidance that families can actually use at home.
Because feeding a baby isn’t about getting every meal “right.” It’s about supporting lifelong health while helping children feel safe, confident and curious around food.
Together we’ll explore…
