Birth, Support & Postpartum Series
Birth deserves more support than most of us receive
A 3-part birth & postpartum series with Doula Morena
For mothers preparing for birth — first time or not
There’s a lot of information about birth.
What to pack. What to expect. What to do. When to go to the hospital.
But much less about what it actually feels like to go through it — and what kind of support truly makes a difference.
This series is a space to explore that.
In three small, guided sessions, we’ll talk about birth, support, and postpartum in a way that feels grounded, honest, and genuinely helpful.
About Doula Morena
Morena is a trained doula and therapist who works closely with various organizations that are very active in promoting women’s health, supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum in a holistic and grounded way. She is a graduate of Doulaskolen in Oslo, which has the most demanding doula program, while she continues to take part in many relevant courses, further expanding her knowledge.
Her work sits at the intersection of individual support and broader advocacy. She has been involved in initiatives supporting women from diverse backgrounds, including flerkulturell doula services, and contributes to ongoing conversations around access to better care for mothers in Norway. She speaks fluent Norwegian, English, Spanish and French.
Through her work, she brings both hands-on experience with families and a wider perspective on what support during this phase can — and should — look like.
Her work is rooted in presence, calm, and deep respect for each mother’s experience.
What we’ll explore
Across the three sessions, we’ll talk about:
– what support during birth can actually look like
– how to prepare in a way that feels steady, not overwhelming
– what is happening in your body during birth
– what support in postpartum really looks like
Who this is for
For mothers preparing for birth and postpartum — whether this is your first baby or not.
Also valuable if you’ve given birth before and want a different experience this time.
