Handmade Village Exchange

Members only Autumn kick-off

Thursday, September 10 | 11:30–13:30 | Sentralen

Registration closes September 2, so I can confirm the final number and let everyone know exactly how many items to prepare.

One of our Village moms sent me this idea a little while ago, and I thought it was brilliant.

Imagine a tiny handmade market—but instead of buying anything, every mother has made something for the group.

Once we know how many of us are coming, each person prepares one of the same item for everyone attending. So if six mothers join, you bring six of whatever you choose to make.

You might arrive with jars of homemade granola and leave with:

🍲 bone broth

🍓 homemade jam

🍞 knekkebrød or sourdough

🍪 cinnamon rolls or muffins

🌿 a tea blend

🫙 something fermented

🧶 a small knitted or sewn creation

🕯️ a handmade candle

🌍 something connected to another mother’s culture or family traditions

…one little gift from each person.

I’ll be making jars of bone broth for everyone. 🤍

It does not need to be complicated, expensive or perfectly presented. It can be something you already love making at home. The point is the care behind it—and the chance to share a little part of ourselves with one another.

We’ll exchange everything over coffee, spend time together, and hopefully get to know the women behind each creation a little better.

You’ll go home with a collection of homemade things made especially for the group—and, I hope, feeling a little more connected to the mothers in our Village.

Babies and toddlers are, of course, very welcome. Feed them, cuddle them, let them play and wander around. This gathering is designed around real motherhood.

This is a members-only event. Current members can simply let me know they would like to join and what they are thinking of making.

Not a member yet? Mothers who join The Village by September 2 are very welcome to take part too. 🤍
