Understanding Babies Beyond Words

NOK 350.00

Babies communicate long before they can speak. Many mothers intuitively feel there is more beneath their baby’s crying, tension or behavior — but are rarely given space or guidance to explore it.

Through movement, body language, tension, crying, connection, regulation and interaction, babies are constantly telling us about their needs, emotions and experiences — if we know how to observe and listen.

In this intimate and interactive gathering, Ute Imhof will guide mothers through a different way of understanding babies: not simply through milestones or behavior, but through connection, observation and emotional responsiveness.

Together, we’ll explore:

– how babies express emotions and stress through the body

– understanding crying, tension and regulation differently

– how early experiences and overwhelming starts can affect babies

– connection and co-regulation between babies and caregivers

– how to better read and respond to your baby’s cues

Rather than a fixed lecture, the session will evolve around the babies and mothers present in the room, creating space for real observation, conversation and individual questions.

This gathering may feel especially supportive for mothers who:

– feel their baby is particularly sensitive or tense

– experienced a difficult or overwhelming birth/postpartum start

– want to better understand their baby’s signals and emotional world

– are curious about a more connected and responsive approach to babies

The group will intentionally be kept small (around 10–12 mothers maximum) to create a calm and conversational atmosphere.

Especially relevant for newborns and babies in the first year, though babies and toddlers of all ages are warmly welcome (all ages will benefit from this session) 🤍

Mothers will leave with a deeper understanding of their baby’s cues, emotions and regulation — and practical ways to respond with more confidence and connection.
